Start with a normal cooking day
Before choosing a cabinet colour, list the appliances you use and the tasks you do most often. Where will vegetables be washed, chopped and cooked? Where will clean plates go? A beautiful island is not useful if it blocks the refrigerator or leaves nowhere to prepare food. Mark the sink, hob, refrigerator and main storage on a measured plan. Open the appliance doors on that drawing as well.
Separate the finish from the cabinet construction
Acrylic, laminate and PU paint describe different surface options; they do not tell you everything about the board, edges or hardware underneath. In our gallery, the ice-blue acrylic-style kitchen has a reflective appearance, while the clay-toned kitchen is visually quieter. The walnut-look scheme adds grain and contrast. Choose the effect you enjoy, then ask for the complete cabinet specification rather than relying on a finish name.
Use colour where it helps the room
A strong colour on lower units can give a kitchen character without filling the whole view. Burgundy with cream and forest green with glazed upper cabinets are two examples in this collection. If your room receives limited daylight, test the sample beside the actual wall tile and worktop. A small catalogue swatch rarely shows how a full run of cabinets will feel.
Compare a complete quotation
Ask each quotation to identify the board, shutter finish, inner surface, hardware, countertop, backsplash, installation and excluded appliances. A budget label in a design gallery describes a direction, not a fixed price. For a Patna home, share the measured layout and site photographs with VASTUTEK so the design can be adapted to existing plumbing, windows and electrical points.
What to bring to a consultation
Bring a floor plan, appliance sizes, two or three favourite designs and a list of things your current kitchen does badly. A finish sample should be checked for sheen, fingerprints, edge quality and the supplier’s cleaning instructions. Finalise these decisions before ordering the cabinetry; they are harder to change once fabrication has begun.
Gallery images illustrate design directions. Final products, dimensions, performance and execution costs need to be confirmed for your project.
